Shopping Information

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

The Dark Lady ships via USPS Priority flat rate box; you will be contacted via invoice after your order has been received with a shipping charge (typically $7.50-$13.50, depending on the size of the box) These boxes include up to $50.00 insurance against loss and damage; additional insurance is available for a fee set by the postal service.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

The Dark Lady ships our packages on Mondays (or Tuesdays if Monday is a Post Office holiday) and, for most shipping zones in the U.S., shipping takes approximately 2-3 days. Some items sold by The Dark Lady are custom made to your specifications and may take approximately 2 weeks to be shipping-ready.

Do You Ship Internationally?

At this time, we do not; orders may only be shipped to the United States or postal codes considered U.S. territories. Orders may of course be placed for readings or services, classes, and downloadable material from anywhere, but physical shipments cannot be sent overseas at this time.

Payment Information

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

The Dark Lady currently accepts online orders paid via PayPal, all major credit cards, and via online invoice. Checks may be mailed, but orders paid via check will not be shipped until payment has cleared. Some checks may be held by the bank for a period of time which may delay orders. Call the shop for orders paid by mail-in check or money order.

Is Buying On-Line Safe?

YES! We process all financial transactions through PayPal; our check out system redirects you temporarily to their pages for secure payment and redirects you back to our site when payment is complete. None of your Credit card data is ever shared with The Dark Lady; PayPal collects a small fee from the total purchase price and deposits payment into our account.

Orders and Returns

How do I place an Order?

With the greatest of ease! Our website’s checkout system leads you to a PayPal processing screen; if you are a PayPal member and wish to pay through their service, simply log in and follow their directions. Once payment is posted, the PayPal site will automatically return you to a Dark Lady splash page thanking you for your order. You may then use the menu bar at the top to return to The Dark Lady’s various pages.

If you are NOT a PayPal member, not to worry! Simply select the Pay With Credit Card option linked below the log in box; PayPal is a trusted and secure Credit Card processor, and The Dark Lady is NEVER shown any of your financial information. No Credit Card data is ever shared with our site, its affiliates, or our company employees.

If you are uncomfortable paying online, we can process your order over the phone; simply call the shop at (504) 702-8466 and we can guide you through the process. This option DOES involve sharing your credit card data with shop employees while they run your card through the register. We DO NOT copy or save Credit Card information, and if you have any concerns about sharing your number to place your order we would highly recommend ordering online through our PayPal checkout system. We can also email you an invoice for your order, but please note that orders will not be fulfilled until payment is complete.

Do I need an account to place an order?

NO! It is recommended that you make one for ease of future orders, but you can check out through our system as a guest and not be added to any lists.

Who should I contact if I have any queries?

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

Orders are shipped the Monday after they are received by The Dark Lady (Tuesday if that Monday is a postal holiday); your order can be adjusted at any time before that point by emailing the shop or calling us at (504) 702-8466.

How Do I Track My Order?

USPS Tracking data will be emailed to you when your order has been shipped, and the progress of shipping can be followed through the postal service’s website.

How Can I Return a Product?

Due to the energies involved in our products, no returns can be accepted. If an order arrives damaged, please contact us directly for resolution (we’ll both have to open a case with the postal service; our shipments include up to $50.00 in insurance against loss or breakage unless extra insurance has been chosen at the time of shipment. If you would like extra insurance on your order, please include a note at time of purchase or call the store directly).
